Cleaning Your Barbecue

Step I

Turn Off and Disconnect Propane

Make sure that all the dials are in the off position.  Turn off and disconnect the propane tank.

 

Step II

Soak Grates

Wearing work gloves and protective eyeglasses, remove the grates and the metal plates under them.  Place in a bucket of hot water and our all-purpose Hercules Ultimate Cleaner.  Rinse with clear water and dry.

Step III

Scrub the Inside/Outside the Hood

Cover the heating elements with a towel and/or foil paper to protect them.  With a grill brush, scrub the underside of the hood.  With a sponge, clean the outside the hood with our all-purpose Hercules Ultimate Cleaner.  Rinse with clear water and dry.

Step IV

Clean the Inside Walls

Use the grill brush to scrub the inside walls above the elements.  With a sponge, clean the outside the walls with our all-purpose Hercules Ultimate Cleaner.  Rinse with clear water and dry.

Step V

Scrub and Rinse Grates

Take the grates and the drip pan out of the bucket. Lean them on a wall, scrub them with the grill brush then rinse with clear water and dry.

Step VI

Reassemble Innards

Wipe the elements with the grill brush. Replace metal plate and grates and drip pan. Reconnect the propane tank.

Step VII

Clean Out the Cabinet

If your grill has a cabinet, sweep out any leaves or debris with a whiskbroom or stiff brush.

Step VIII

Clean the Exterior

Clean the exterior and the cabinet interior with our all-purpose Hercules Ultimate Cleaner.  Rinse with clear water and dry.
